About our Team Principals

Marie is a pharmaceutical industry professional, and Principal Practitioner & Consultant at McKenzie Mills Partnership Ltd, which she established in 1996. Before starting the company, Marie gained extensive experience across medical research, healthcare, and the pharmaceutical industry.

A UK trained biochemist, Marie took her Fellowship in immunology while at Guy’s Hospital Medical School, progressing onto doctoral research in a study of immune regulation in rheumatoid arthritis. She followed this with a spell in the NHS before joining the pharmaceutical industry. The latter included a decade of experience spanning: sales, clinical research, medical information/affairs, training, and business development in the pharmaceutical industry. But, after umpteenth mergers, re-organisations, and a spell in a contract research organisation, she decided the time was right to put her business development skills to the test.

Over the years, as well as developing a successful business, with a trusted network of associates,  Marie indulged her passion in training, to specialise in Learning and Teaching, culminating with a doctorate in Education.

In 2018, Karen, a well travelled VP in the software industry, joined the company, bringing her laser focus and leadership skills to bear on our diverse range of B2B and B2C projects.

As a Certified Scrum Product Owner, Karen focuses on operations, processes and project management in MMP for our pharma, healthcare, business and software clients. She’s also developed a range of digital products and services for professionals looking to develop their business super-powers. Her latest addition to our ABPI Exam Toolkit is a self-paced online course to help ABPI exam candidates prepare for their mandatory exam.

Karen also consults with clients to support digital transformation of their learning and development functions.
